BossConstructor Cheat

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

About This Game BossConstructor is a game about building and flying your own spaceship. Assemble your own ships from a number of components and explore procedurally generated galaxies!Building your ShipAt the core of the game lies the ship editor. An editor that allows you to freely assemble your very own spaceships using a vast variety of (currently) over 60 modules. The way you build your ships determines how they behave and what they are capable of doing, and, as every module costs money, weight and energy, designing a good, efficient spaceship is a challenging yet rewarding task.Expedition and Sandbox ModeThe expedition mode lets you explore a procedurally generated galaxy inhabited by the von-Neumann; a constantly evolving AI species. You begin with a small, basic ship and advance as you complete missions, discover new enemy species, and scavenge more powerful or exotic components to improve your ship with. Alternatively, you can always build any ship you like without any constraints in the sandbox mode.Artificial IntelligenceBeing a single player game, a lot of attention is being given to the game's artificial intelligence system. The von-Neumann enemies you will encounter in the expedition mode have been painstakingly created using elaborate artificial evolutions, in which vast numbers of mutating ships have competed for survival. Several bonus game modes allow you to lean back and watch just how different AI species compete with each other for survival and how each generation evolves.FAQQ: Which are the supported platforms?A: The game supports Windows, Linux, SteamOS and MacOS. Mac users do still need to manually install Java though (worry not, it's free).Q: Will there be a multiplayer mode?A: Unfortunately implementing multiplayer support is exceedingly complex. Therefore I am focusing on providing a solid single player experience instead. Q: What types of ships can you build? A: Any ship built with the available modules is valid as long, of course, as the modules do not overlap. You can build ships with moving parts as well as ships consisting of multiple ship parts (which can be controlled individually). Q: How large can the ships be?A: You can add modules to your ship as long as they fit within the editor's boundaries and its 14x14 grid (which can be expanded to 18x18 using the integrity enhancer module). Q: How many module types are there? A: There are currently over 60 module types in the game (not counting visual variations). More modules will be added in the future. If you like, you can suggest your own ideas and if enough players like them, I will be happy to incorporate them in the game.Q: How does the artificial evolution work? A: The artificial evolution works by simulating a huge tournament in which mutated versions of existing ships compete with each other. The most successful ships, i.e. the ships which have dealt most damage to their enemies, proceed to the next round while the losers are eliminated.Q: Yeah, but should I buy it?!A: Are you kidding? Absolutely! ;) If you enjoy being a part of constantly-updated games during their development process, BossConstructor might just be what you've been looking for! Please, do feel free to check out the reviews of other gamers or the forums. Also, do keep in mind that the latest changes in Steam's refund policy actually allow you to return the game should you not enjoy it. 1075eedd30 Title: BossConstructorGenre: Action, Indie, RPG, SimulationDeveloper:Mirko SeithePublisher:Mirko SeitheRelease Date: 24 Oct, 2016 BossConstructor Cheat bossconstructor wiki. bossconstructor cheats. boss constructor review. bossconstructor. boss constructor vs reassembly. boss constructor igg. bossconstructor download. bossconstructor guide As of yet the interface is terrible, the controls terrible, the gameplay tedious and slow but the premise fantastic and the builder is nice. This game plays like a slow paced three-way-mixed-heritage baby between Borderlands 1 (Loot rarity), Classic Asteroids (Physics simulated 2d spaceships) and Reassembly (spaceship building).I will be looking out for this game hoping to see some exciting improvements.. This game is extremely addictive, I installed it at 11 and didnt stop playing it till 4 in the morning!. Challenging learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, this game will totally engross you. Some camera wonkiness and balance issues, but I expect these will improve with time.. The game has some neat ideas but lacks polishing. Issues range from developer not thinking (e.g. you cannot quit from hangar menu without first placing down a command center, whereas any other application like Word will allow you to quit without saving), to crashes (genetic algorith drops to 1FPS by the 3rd generation and then crashes) as well as minor annoyances (e.g. the ship in the hanger keeps moving when you use the mouse to move parts around, and the battle camera is so useless that you need to keep one hand on the mouse to keep adjusting the camera unless you enjoy flying blind). All of that could be fixed, but only time will tell. In it's present state, it is very hard to recommend.. Very nicely done. Messing with parts and then getting to smash the result. recommended! Especially being able to build both humand and AI controlled ships and team them up is a nice touch.. This game is dope. Seriously, why wouldn't you just start your adventure now, build your own ship, modify it and go on with countless battles in different modes, doing it all the way you like? I think you should playing it right now.. In a word... Impressed.Solid Concept. Well executed. In many ways it reminds me of the original Star Control... the classic that started this genreYou will also recognize some SPaZ concepts mixed in.BossConstructor is what the name implies... You begin with a very basic ship. As you fight enemies and finish missions, you acquire new parts. Adding those parts increases the power and strength of your vessel. The end goal is building up a "Boss" ship that is capable of taking on the AI Bosses and the invaders. For those who haven't played games like Star Control, SPaZ, and the like, you might find the in-space physics alittle challenging, at first. Gravity, inertia, solar winds, etc are present. (Your ship will not immediately stop when you release the thrusters.) Making contact with asteroids and other ships results in damage to your own...Balancing your build is important too. Every part you add increases one spec and decreases another. (Plus, adding any mass to the ship always decreases Speed & Maneuverability.)Examples:Adding Engines = + Speed & Maneuverability = Increased Energy Drain & Increased MassAdding Weapons = + Firepower & Defense = Increased Energy Drain & Increased MassAdding Solar Panels = + Energy & Capacity = Increased Ship Size & Increased Massetc, etc....Component Placement also plays a role in maneuverability, speed, & survivability...Place your Command Center in the middle of your build. It is the key to your whole ship. When it is destroyed, so are you. There are no second chances, this is a 1-life, insta-death game. -->You die = Game Over.<--Straight-forward:-Ship building/customizing -Combat-Missions-GoalsNeeds Tuning:-UI (no component mirroring button, etc)--EDIT: UI updated with many enhancements, including armor shape selection-More components (Limited choices, needs some better defensive parts)--EDIT: HUGE update here... More components that you can shake a stick at-Early Mission Balancing (first couple missions when ship is very weak)--EDIT: After several updates, this issue has been fixed to my satisfaction-Ship Testing Map in Builder Menu (needs a couple enemies that shoot back)--EDIT: Enhanced Builder mode now allows for custom skirmishes. Very Nice. This review may change here and there as I get more gametime in, additions are made, etc.All things considered, this is a solid game with a solid developer... And worth your time/money.. Has a lot of promise, but still working out kinks. It's being updated constantly so anything super wonky or glitchy that you might find will likely get patched out within a few weeks.. Controls are clunky and the gameplay is reminiscent of 1970s "Astroids". The ship building system is overcomplicated for what you get out of it, and damage to your craft unforgiving, resulting in a situation of whoever takes the first damage loses. Patch 174: Miscellaneous:- Added some missing glyphs: ’“”«»- Tweaked the evolution algorithm to make bigger ships more feasible and frequent.- You can now make defend allied factory and kill enemy factory work.- Upgrading armor variations in the tech lab should now work.- The ore collecting achievement now only requires 50 ore.- The VN FFA and VN ally/enemy wave missions now delay spawning ships when more than 8 enemy ships are on the map.- The VN wave mission now spawns more enemies but waits for you to sort of clean up a wave until it spawns the next one.- You can now play the von-neumann missions in the skirmish mode.Bug fixes:- Fixed using workshop ships in the skirmish mode.- Fixed a very rare crash with the torpedo module.- Fixed autoaim joints being indestructible.- Fixed interceptors not targeting enemies in the VN FFA mission.- You can now skip the score screen build-up by clicking/key pressing.- Fixed some text/translation issues.. Bug fixes:- Joint/chain/piston-only shipparts should now correctly self-destruct.- Fixed a bug causing the help button in the last tutorial stage to be unclickable.- Fixed a bug in the "Escape AI CC" and added it to the research tree.. Patch 133: Custom Boss Enemies!: - You can now make your own boss enemies, play against them and share them in the Steam forums. The most original and successful ones might get added to the game later on. Making boss ships is relatively easy but not very intuitive, so I recommend reading my Steam guide on boss construction to get started. :)- Fixed commands getting reset upon ship damage for boss enemies. - Fixed the UI being slightly too big at 1280x800.- Fixed button text in skirmish mode. Here is a guide I made on constructing boss enemies:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=528880587Also, the dev streams will resume starting tomorrow at 6 PM GMT. :). Patch 117: New music track: # 30.6Just a small patch today including a new music track. Regular patch frequency will resume next week. I've also updated the module voting round. The next dev stream will probably be on July 12th at the usual time. Thank you for your support! It really means a lot to me to have such a great and supportive player base! :)- Added a new mission music track to the game.. Progress Report 2015 08/09 and Status Update: I've made a new progress report video which summarizes what I've been working on in the past few weeks. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-Iiu3ynjhcI'm going to be absent in the upcoming two weeks so unfortunately there will be no updates and dev streams during this time. The current build should be reasonably stable and there shouldn't be any major bugs. If you find some nevertheless, please leave a note in the forums so that I can fix them when I get back. Take care! :). Patch 140: Exploration Mode Improvements: - Added transmissions and actual quest texts from the local factions. - Lvl 2 faction standing now reveals all faction stars. Lvl 6 opens all faction jump gates. Lvl 4/8 gives you 10%/25% discount in the shop. - Updated the help texts, the tutorial and more. - Improved the sector tooltips in the exploration mode. - Streamlined the mission goal effects: The primary objective unlocks adjacent sectors, the secondary objective improves your faction spending.- Fixed crashes caused by a) RNG, b) trails, c) automatic ship exporting, d) joints.. Status Update: Hi fellow constructors! Unfortunately I'm having some health problems at the moment. In fact, I've been in hospital from Saturday to Thursday last week and I still need to rest and recover for a while. I'm also going to spend a few more days in hospital at the beginning of next month. The good news is that everything will be fine afterwards! :)In effect updates for BC are going to be slower in the upcoming days/weeks since I need to rest a lot and can't work for prolonged periods of time at the moment. The weekly dev stream and the "module-of-the-week programme" are also going to be suspended until I feel better.I'll keep you up to date. Thank you for your understanding!Sincerely, Mirko. Patch 143: Evo mode, miscellaneous: - Added filter buttons to the techlab screen.- Made evolution intro and ship evolution screens a bit more understandable.- You can now export single evo ships.- Endless mode map size now depends on the ship number.- Changed the way flying modules look.- Fixed a bug in the mouse press handling on the galaxy map.- The default dir for Linux is now ~/.config/BossConstructor. Move your folder there if you like. I'll be away for a few days beginning this Thursday. Development will resume afterwards.. Patch 158: AI Improvements, AI Cores and Explosive Charges: - Numerous general AI improvements.- AI behavior is now bound to special AI core modules, which replace command centers for AI ships. Putting one of these on your ship will make the AI control it. Useful for replicator-produced ships. - AI cores come in 4 flavors - Standard, Boss, Melee, Skirmish - and can be salvaged from AI ships or researched/bought.- Added the explosive charge module which explodes like a mine when destroyed. Useful for replicated ships and melee ai cores.- Improved energy system: Modules receive energy equally when low on energy. This prevents ships from tilting to one side when e.g. some thrusters receive more energy than others.- Nameplates now count as decoration and are no longer part of the research tree.- Fixed the impossible achievement.. Progress Report 2016-03: I've made a new progress report video. You can watch it here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RklFHWF4KDE
